EMSA and Osmosis recently organized a two-day workshop at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Cluj Napoca (UMF) to enhance medical students’ knowledge of electrocardiograms (ECGs). The workshop, open to all UMF students, included theoretical presentations and practical activities led by experienced EMSA and Osmosis tutors. Participants learned about ECG reading from the basics to advanced concepts, with a focus on arrhythmias, ischemia, and infarction patterns. Practical activities included hands-on experience with ECG readings, and real-time feedback from tutors.

The workshop was well-received by attendees, who appreciated the opportunity to learn from experienced tutors in a hands-on setting. Participants came away with enhanced skills and knowledge that will serve them well in their future medical careers. Feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing appreciation for the opportunity to deepen their understanding of ECG reading.

EMSA and Osmosis hope to continue providing similar educational opportunities for medical students in the future. With the success of this ECG workshop, there may be opportunities for similar workshops or other educational events that offer hands-on learning experiences for students. By working together, EMSA and Osmosis can continue to provide valuable resources and support for medical students at UMF and beyond
